I'd go white on the chairs...slipcovers would work nicely. Charcoal and white rug under. For the accent color, I vote for purple...in your chandy.

You've done a lovely job. Instead of reupholstering, maybe consider white slipcovers, which I think would suit the look of your dining room. I would select a chandelier that felt casual and maybe adding a sisal area rug will help define the eating area. I would heighten the drapery rod and go with wide white and grey striped linen drapes. With the shape of the room, the railing, plus the board and batten, I think keeping it simple will keep it looking elegant. Color can be added with your dishes, art, a great centrepiece/flowers.

And therein lies your accent colors.

I have never used slipcovers, so perhaps others can comment. I would think though that if they are fitted well they shouldn't move and you could always velcro at strategic areas on the inside of the fabric and the leather, to ensure they remain stable.

It doesn’t look like a rug will fit because of the columns. How much room is between back legs of chairs and column bases?
