ugh. I wish I had words of wisdom for you, but my plumber was very strongly against using any of the ikea vanities. I hadn't planned on doing so, but he gave the impression that it was a headache to install.

Thanks for the comment. So far the vanity itself, and even the sink, are posing no problem (keep your fingers crossed). More of a compatability issue between the Ikea sink and non-Ikea faucet. Lucky for me, I guess, I don't care that much about the faucet, so I'm just going to return the Kohler and buy an Ikea one. I do think Ikea should let consumers know that this is an issue.

@twofoursixeight how has the Ikea sink/faucet been? We are about to put in the Hemnes sink and one of their faucets! Would love some feedback please! Thanks!

You can use the IKEA drain and plumbing that came with the sink, and omit the Kohler drain.
