I love the look of these copper tubs, but I just can't spend $5,000 on a bathtub. Does anyone know of a less expensive alternative that offers a similar look?

Remember, copper is an expensive material. :)

You can do a search on the internet for: "copper freestanding tub inexpensive"

I came to this Nextag site that compares many models that may be more affordable for you:

Donna Thomas Vintage Chic Furniture can you link to a cattle trough being used? Aren't those normally in stainless?

Yes, you can find cheap copper tubs, often from India or Mexico where lead laws and standards for copper content are unregulated. The 'hammered' texture and patina are used to hide poorly made seams and rough shaping. Buyer beware, do some research and ask some questions before you click, Buy Now!
