I have an induction burner that I like but I still like cooking with gas better most of the time I have very expensive pots that I have had for years they were imported from Italy and I love them but they don't work on induction so had to buy a couple of special pots for the burner. I think the perfect stove would be a combo . If you have a large appliance company near you they often have demos that would let you check out the induction stoves or get an induction burner and give it a try.

i was quite enthused about the idea of induction and then i heard that it can boil water 4 minutes faster. that sorta sound lame. i love my gas cooktop and rarely boil a pot of water.
