Help with Kitchen Flooring

Hello, I would like to replace the floor in my kitchen. When we renovated our kitchen we selected vinyl flooring. I would like to upgrade to porcelain or ceramic tile. My cabinets are light maple, shaker style, I have slate colored counter-tops and white tile back-splashes with silver accents. I was thinking white tile with gray accents, however my husband thinks white is too light. Any suggestions?
