We recommend using (and includes for use with new purchases) "snap toggle" anchors to secure the LAXseries Headboard Shelf to drywall.

It should be noted that the snap toggle anchors and their matching, included bolts that thread into the anchors to secure the Shelf to the wall are not designed to be mounted into studs. In fact, they are designed to be mounted directly into drywall only. This allows for greater latitude in positioning the Shelf where you would like, and with each anchor being rated at approximately 100 lbs capacity, the Shelf will be more than secure if mounted properly.

In the case that you do hit a stud accidentally, or you wish to secure at least (2) of the two vertically aligned pairs of mounting openings into a stud (only two vertically aligned holes will line up due to both pairs being set apart wider than standard stud spacing), you can use a 1/4 in. x 2-1/2 in. Stainless Steel Hex-Head Lag Screw to secure two of the vertically aligned mounting openings in the Shelf to a stud. While lag head screws are not intended for use with our products, and therefore not provided in our hardware kits, these are available at most home improvement stores.

The King size of the LAXseries Storage Headboard measures 19"H x 84"W x 5" D. The piece has two outer compartments measuring 19.25" 20.125"W x 5.25"D and 6, smaller compartments each measuring 5.375" H x 20.125" W x 5.25" D. An image of the interior without the covers can be seen below.

We also offer a queen size measuring 19" H x 72"W x 5"D. The outermost cubicles measure 19.25" H x 17"W x 5.25"D. The inner cubicles measure 5.375"H x 17.125"W x 5.25" D.
