I would keep the trim all the same. you want all your colors to harmonize. I took a look at the pics of your room in your idea book. From the pics and your description I can see you have a lot of trim. You don't want your trim work to fade out, but you also don't want to make it pop to the point of grabbing attention away from other things - you want to room to look good as a whole.

I don't know what your colors will be and it looks like some of the trim is already painted. However, think twice before painting paneled wood doors. I didn't see any, but the movement of wood in paneled wood doors often cracks paint at joints and becomes a real upkeep issue. They look fine with painted trim, so save yourself some time and trouble and if you were thinking of painting doors, try it first with just the trim.
