Any cautions when pairing cherry + ipe?

First off, congrats on the lovely work. Second, do you find it difficult to match cherry cabinets with ipe? I'm currently refinishing my natural cherry cabs and was eyeing new flooring to replace some ragged 1/4" oak strips. How careful did you have to be to make the tones work with each other?

    Hi,
    The ipe floor you see in the floor is natural, no stain. You will notice that the floor has more movement of color then the mid-tone stained cherry cabinets, which I think looks good. However if your cabinets a a natural cherry they will have more movement toward the light tones then the natural ipe floor would have. I would caution care when you have two products with color movement that are next to one another. Remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
