Need a bench for entry way

I need a bench for under this table in my entry way. I'm struggling with what kind of base won't complete with the legs of this table. Maybe and x-base? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Don't think you need a bench...but would like to see the mirror trimmed in gold.

I'm fine with gold paint in the outside edge of the one you have...think the size and style are just right to juxtapose the large paisleys

You got it going on Mary Karen! Here are 3 suggestions for you. Thank you for such an interesting question. I love, love, love wall paper you mixed with classic wainscot....very hip....very cool. You have very classy taste from crystal, to bone, to polished gold and black ebony. WOW... but, an entry hall is one area where you can just let it loose and go for the gusto and enjoy the pazazz right! Its great. I love it. So, following your lead this is what I think...

You have a beautiful foyer. I see something small and sculptural. Here are a few examples I found, the first 3 to show how black would add weight down low to balance mirror frame:

I agree with Adalisa that a dark colored bench would balance well with the existing mirror. I can envision something upholstered in a dark fabric, solid to the ground or on minimal barely visible feet. I would have it custom made to fit within the length of the table and very narrow in width to tuck under the table. It could have an upholstered flat top with a straight skirt with corner box pleats. Or, it could be tightly upholstered atop four wood feet the size of the corners of the mirror frame and a height of 2-3 inches.

Thank you so much! I actually need a bench for everyone to put their shoes on etc. Function over fashion! Thanks for all of your input. Love the suggestions...
