You should not feel bad!! I didn't have anything to swap. Only 2nd yr. living in Ok. I just brought a door prize!! You missed a great time. Be sure you come next yr!!!

Stockergal, I promise you this....no one will mind it if you never bring a plant. We'll just be happy to meet you and chat with you and load you up with plants because some people (I am guilty, as charged) bring too many plants. It all evens out.

(True Confession: It takes Tim and I significantly longer to load the truck with plants and things than it does to drive to Ken and Paula's place from south-central OK.)

Oh, don't ever let that stop you, a lot of us bring extras. It is just a great afternoon to visit and get to know each other in "real life" :)

I think "swap" is sort of a misnomer ... the fling is more a potluck with gardening friends and there happen to be plants that need a home. There have been years I bring more and years I bring less (this year was definitely less, but I made up for it by packing everything and the kitchen sink that little Sprout might need) but never once have I lacked for goodies to enjoy. In years past, when I did bring more, I was so happy for plants to go to places that they would be enjoyed and useful, and I imagine people bringing extras each year feel the same.

I would have loved for someone to take home my extras, they felt sad coming back here ;)
