We hired someone to thatch then apply seeds on our lawn. But after it is done, my in-law applied fertilizer (NOT starter fertilizer. just some fertilizer left over from last fall) on the same day.

I just learnt about the fertilizer thing today. Does that mean all the seeding is in vain now? Do I need to re-seed?
