I have Salvia libanensis (note the correct spelling) in the UK, got it last year. I very much doubt that it would survive any frost, can't be sure, but kept it in the greenhouse over winter, still there now as we are having a cold spell at the moment.

An absolute beauty, just started to flower. At first it seemed to be just bracts, as the flowers took a while to appear. I think it needs shade, warmth, and humidity. Last summer I kept the pot in almost total shade, which it seemed to like.

OOPS, fat fingered typing while half asleep. Interesting. I will make some cuttings and keep it inside over winter and leave mom out in the cold, well mulched and with a tub over her or something like that on the coldest nights. Thanks on the shade comment. It is going into bright shade 3' from a grey water outlet. soil is as rich as I can make my limestone hilltop.
