      it does, but i wonder how functional it would be in a bathroom. i suppose it would be ok if there isn't a shower?

      not very functional if it is painted wood unless great exhaust fan...I've see horizontal done in a solid surface material used for counter tops....quite expensive and labor intensive

      As long as there's a good fan or a window, it should be fine. Lots of bathroom have wood (think beaded board wainscoating).
