Fran, I got the kit at Maui Quilt Shop in Hawaii. They have a website (maui-quiltshop.com), but they don't seem to have an on-line shop. They may charge and ship to you by phone however. The pattern/kit name is Aloha Layer Cake. They are wonderful prints, aren't they.

Oh, I love the big flower prints. She is gonna love it.

I like how you used painter's tape to hold down the outer edges of the fabric..... will have to try that next time.

Here it is all quilted and ready to go. I really love this quilt in so many ways, the fabric, the quilting, the backing. I have decided that a simple meander, or stipple, really looks nice on many quilts.

Beautiful! I love it! It's liking looking out the window at a beautiful garden.

I like meandering, too...just did it on my stack & whack. It's great for a sashed setting.

It's gorgeous! I love bright colors and the floral prints. When you say, "glue basted" do you mean the spray kind. Don't you find that get's on your floors?

Bev, I drizzle fine lines of Elmer's School Glue (not the regular Elmer's Glue) about 4 inches apart between the layers. First I tape the backing to the floor with painter's tape. Then I drizzle the glue and place the batting on the backing, smoothing it out well. Then more glue, and then the top smoothed over the batting. I let it dry for a few hours, and then it's ready to quilt. The layers stay together perfectly; I've never gotten a wrinkle. And no matter how much I handle the sandwich, it stays together. Then I wash the quilt when it's bound, and the glue vanishes. I think it's the greatest method. No overspray, no pins, no machine basting. The machine never hesitates when it hits the glue.
