How do you use expensive fabric on a budget?

    I would use it in small doses, such as pillows, lampshades, etc.

    You can get a lot of bang for your buck by using it in pillows and curtains. I know this sounds like a lot of fabric, but you'll actually probably only need 2 yards. First pick a neutral, more cost effective fabric to use as the bulk of the cost. Then take your expensive fabric and use a small square in the middle of the pillow, bordered by your cost effective fabric all around. Also you can use your expensive fabric as tie pull backs or as a large border at the bottom of the panels made out of the cost effective fabric.

    I achieved this in my daughter's room. Will post a pic in just a little bit; so you can see.
