You could stick with neutrals, or go a little bit crazy (you've earned it after 10 years) and add a color that isn't a neutral! A soft green such as in your valance and the dining room rug could look very nice. If you changed the valance, a soft blue might also work with the rug.

With a totally white kitchen you can paint it any color in the rainbow! Enjoy.

Are you keeping valance and rug? If yes pull your color from them

A nice greige would look good. It would tie in your rooms and pre existing decor.

I used Kelley Moore Wise Owl. It is a soft beige and looks great with the white shutters. Above the shutters I bought a stencil "May love be the heart of this home" in black. The combo is stunning. I also have white counter tops but dark cabinets.

Don't be afraid of color---good idea to pick a color from something you already have or buy new curtain and pick a color from there.

Did you know "Burlap" was also part of the HGTV Livable Luxe Collection at Sherwin Williams? (although available on any of their paints, not just HG..)

There are 8 HGTV collection names, 20 colors on each. I still have my LL Collection card with Burlap showing on it.

I just saw online this color has very recently been replaced. No matter! Most of the original colors remain, ensuring any LL color will still coordinate beautifully with your Burlap.

Go dark gray

I'm a fan of white kitchens and very light colors for small rooms as well as rooms with small windows . . . but that's what works for my small house.

I suggest the Benjamin Moore Pewter Gray, the eggshell finish, for both your kitchen and dining room. Due to the windows being on the smaller side this color will give you a new look without darkening the rooms. You can also change the window coverings in an color you choose. Perhaps a shade of aqua blue.

I painted my dining room Cranberry red, my kitchen which is in the process of being redone with grafite grey cupboards is painted a pale silvery grey. I would paint your kitchen a soft sagey green, or go bold and paint it cranberry red. It will make the features pop.

I love a yellow and white kitchen but your maple furniture in the dining room would look better with a sage green or garnet colour in the kitchen to pull both rooms together. Just an aside-when you have an all white kitchen you need texture to bring it off. I would add a nice deep head molding to your uppers to finish them off.

I say after 10 years it's time for a change altogether. Change the color AND get rid of the valance. With white cabinets you can go any color. The possibilities are endless. Teals are very popular right now. Test different paint colors to see what you'll be happy with.

Take the color in the dining room and have the paint store use half of each tint for it with the same base, making a new paint that is brighter, but exactly the same tone. It will be very easy to live with and actually green is so forgiving l it almost reads neutral

and don't go with trendy colors, in the blink of an eye it will be so so yesterday.

I think the colour of your kitchen looks great as is. I wouldn't paint it.

You have to consider the rooms next to the kitchen. Your dining room looks like a sage green with red drapes, which would look terrible with a gray kitchen, unless you are planning to repaint everywhere. Your kitchen is neutral, and allows for many colors, so start your color decision with the adjoining rooms, which probably have some things you need to match with (rugs, furniture, drapes, etc).

hi some classic colors ive used are sherwin williams universal khaki SW6150 and if you are interested in gray - SW6252 ice cube, but i do agree that maybe give yourself permission to go with a color!

It it's not broke...I like the color. Change up your accessories to add various colors. I would not paint it anything trendy, for sure. And I, personally, do not like gray with brown floors. Where I live (Tucson) gray just does not work. It does not mimic the environment. And gray and brown...ugh. Best wishes. I'm sure it will turn out wonderfully. You should show us after you do a change, if you do a change.

if you have had the same color for years, i think maybe it's time to change it up. I mean, it's only paint after all! I'd look for a more modern shade...grays are great and versatile, and a warm shade of gray or taupe with a touch of brown in the base will work beautifully with any brown elements and looks sharp against the white tiles and cabinetry. just be sure to consider the palettes in the adjoining rooms, to create a nice flow...and know that painting this kitchen may inspire new paint throughout! have some fun with it!!

After 10 years of the same paint color, it is definitely time for a change. A new paint color will update the room. I'd recommend something in the warm gray tone, SW Comfort Gray is beautiful or try BM Gray Cashmere (gray with a blue undertone). As for the window treatment, do something more modern and stay away for the droopy outdated floral valances. Try a woven wood blind and mount higher than the window so you don't block the light coming in when the shade is up, or a fabric roman shade with a modern graphic print (Ballard Designs and Smith & Noble are good sources)

Apple green for sure! I had an all white kitchen & used apple green & everyone loved it. I later added a large scale check that matched perfectly on the valances. PERFECT!

I just painted my entire house Sherwin Williams Silver Strand. Best paint choice I have EVER made! It's a surprisingly lovely 'neutral' that looks gorgeous with white. Our house is very, very small and it really brightened the space while making it feel cozy at the same time.

I just moved into a house and painted every room Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter and all the trim Moore's Simply White. I love it. In some rooms, it's gray and others almost taupe. In my guest room, it's paired with a muted yellow and other rooms with turquoise. The color reminds me of fog.

Apple green, a soft turquoise, greige, and grey all look so pretty with white. I have several valances for my kitchen window and switch them out whenever I need a change. Have fun.
