I don't really have a design dilemma to post yet, just wanted to come say - our offer was accepted on this house! After years of renting, my husband and I are about to be first-time homeowners. It's small, nondescript (I'll landscape, I promise!), and needs a bit of freshening up inside, but we're very excited. I'm also pregnant with our first child... it's a big year for us!

We took a very cautious approach to the real estate market, having seen others get burned. We could afford a larger home on land, but we decided to buy only what we need now. If we make it a priority we'll be able to pay off this house within the next few years. When we decide we need more room, we plan to use it for rental income - in fact, in our local market we could rent it now and make a profit.

Anyway, all this to say - I'm excited! :)
