I'd do everything humanly possible to save this treasure. What an amazing thing to find. It it had been exposed to wear, tear and air, it would not be here today. You are a lucky duck! Keep us posted. Perhaps contact a local preservation society, invite them over or share picture with them. They might not only recognize it, but could get you in touch with someone who could help preserve it!

I wonder if you could cut a large (5X8 or bigger) piece out and frame it to use as artwork. It's cool. You could rehang it on the same wall. Don't know the time period, sorry.

I also agree with saving that if you can. If necessary...cut that section of wall out!

Yes I'm thinking we can salvage what we can, cut it out and hang it as art work in the room it becomes-- it's a delightful surprise of living in a vintage home!

It's probably 1960s or 1970s, when the graphic quality of the posters started to be appreciated again but when the images were in the public domain as well? I've seen similar "collage" paper from that period.

Even if it's from the 70's, the nod to the Deco era is apparent and a nice piece of the home's history.

@bungalowmo We have some of the original woodwork around the windows - as well as the original fireplace. Those are are the details that make you fall in love before you write a fat check!

This is a very old thread, but just popped on to say that my Grandpa put up this wallpaper in "his" bathroom in my Grandparents old house, it's still here to this day. Definitely from the 70s. I've been trying to track down a copy for us to put into our forever home as an homage to him!
