White sheers with a subtle pattern (mimics the headboard) would be loving. Something like this?

Very French looking furniture. Country Curtains has some valances called Parisian Note. They are 100% cotton and come in linen or taupe color. They are shown over a dotted net lace called Point d'Esprit and also over their sheer linen panels. I think one of these combos would look great for your windows!

Definitely go with white possibly with a lace pattern to match the dresser and headboard.

I like your idea of heavy white or offwhite linen drapes. Add some flat tape trim in a geometric pattern in black/brown along the leading edge and/or hem line.

HI Darrell, I think you've got it with all this good help! I agree on the off-white linen. Restoration Hardware has some good ones in a few different lengths. Janishill's drawing above of the drapery hanging height and width of rod is great. Go with that! I would keep it simple since you have plenty of detail in the furniture. Good luck!
