Calamondin Tree with ridiculously tiny fruits

I bought a calamondin tree last year from a very good nursery in LA and transplanted it right away into a good size (25 in?) terracotta planter. When I bought it it was full of flowers, it was beautiful! The fruits though were minuscule -- I know calamondins are tiny but mine were like fatter capers.

Any idea what Im doing wrong? Im hoping it's just a first year thing? I have a dwarf Meyer lemon that i bought around the same time that I placed right beside this calamondin. Those had no trouble blooming and fruiting (yielded me 8 fruits this February -- not a lot, but at least I got something!).
