Hi,

For the rustic look I recommend warm neutrals that are not "pink-ish".

Colors like Sherwin Williams 6150 Universal Khaki, SW 2827 Colonial Revival Stone, or SW 0049 Silver Gray would work well with your new table and the rustic decor that you would put in the room.

I say no pink-ish color because with the orange undertone in your hardwood flooring and yellow frame of your dining table, beige, taupe or cream can easily look pink in the room.

For the kitchen, since you have navy blues going on, same or similar color as your dining room would look great!

I have Horizon Grey in a room and it's a cool khaki color. That might be nice.

And thanks for the color ideas...I'll look them up...I'm leaning towards a blue or a grey, but not sure how dark to go...I love the rustic/ distressed ideas on furniture so I have a piece we plan to paint like the table to tie it together ( and the flooring will be changed to a two toned grey) I'm not a pinkish color kinda gal lol unless it's in my daughters room...we had a beautiful sea foam green first but with kids it was to light so we painted darn then bought a new table so I want to make it look nice here :)

My husband is making this small table and these are some of my frames in the living room, the cream color on my table, flows with the cream on some pictures frames, my lamp and my rug in the living room

Instead of having photos of family on every wall pick a wall and make a gallery. The wall behind the sofa isn't the right wall because people can't really see. Needs to be a place that you can walk right up to so you can actually see the pictures. You can add as years go by.

Then go for a large picture over the sofa. Should be about 2/3 the length of the couch. So if sofa is 60 inches long then painting should be about 40 inches wide.

The dining room chairs look like a creamy off white? If so, I would paint room same color as back if chairs. This room needs some texture as you have a lot of solids going on here. How about in the curtains? I would start by bringing your decorative rod to the ceiling and hang curtains to go to floor. The drapery texture could be. in a muted geometric shape in a white & off white pattern to go with the walls and woodwork and back of chair or how about a check or stripe. Have you looked at Country Curtains? How about a large mirror leaning on one side of the wall to open up the space to make it look bigger? When I buy drapes, I usually buy double (2sets on both side) to make it look more luxurious. Fresh flowers or an arrangement on the table would be beautiful.
