Its a dutch iris, grows from bulbs

Oh, I suspected it is a dutch iris, but the rhizome is very, very long. I didn't realize that the growths along the rhizome are the small bulbs that are the dutch iris "bulbs" that I have purchased in the past. I had no idea that the Dutch iris have a long rhizome.

From the angle of this picture it looks like a Louisiana. But I wouldn't rule out Japanese. Need pictures from other angles and more opened flower. Gorgeous.

Irisgal, I posted an incorrect photo of the bloom on my iris. This is the correct photo of the bloom and two more pictures of the rhizomes. The rhizome in the first photo is 15 inches long and the rhizome in the 2nd photo is about 8 inches long. The rhizome on this iris is much skinnier than those produced by my bearded and Lousiana iris and are completely different. I was given a japanese iris in a trade several years ago, but lost track of where I had transplanted it after it failed to perform in its original location.

The 2nd flower is definately an older Louisiana. This form was seen in the 60's and earlier. The closest picture I've seen is Puttytat (arny'68). Look for it at Daves Garden. Posted by puttytat (her namesake ?). Of 100's of pics posted by her I've only seen one questionable one. I trust her accuracy.
