So I am about to purchase a swing set for my kids. Maintenance free are too expensive so I was going to get a wood DIY and make a project out of it. The problem I have is carpenter bees. Had them on my desk and sprayed and covered holes then used 4x rust-oleum and that seemed to do the trick last year. I hear paint is the best to deter them from the wood. Was going to paint all wood first prior to assembly. Just want a non slip paint and one that last long. Was thinking of using the rust-oleum for this as well but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. If my son sees bees the swing set will be useless. Any suggestions?
