With the tile roof, I would replace the garage door with a warm camel tan (bright whites not so great with your stucco color and tile roof) door in a carriage style with contrasting "plant on" hardware.

Then, you can paint your front door a welcoming olive tone and consider what color changes on the larger field and trim elements you might make in the future. With a new house there are always lots of things you might want to do, but these two things would do a lot for it.

Later, you can take all the wood trim in a dark camoflauge khaki green brown gray direction . . . something like http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/trailingvines

The stucco could head towards a more khaki tan then . . not so yellow.

The other way to handle this color palette is to go for painting the stucco a white to match the variegations in the brick - bm monterrey white (can't see both your neighbors) ..then the white garage won't be soo far off . . . but you don't have as many ways to go with that . . with the tile roof and the red variegated brick .. . you have enough action going on visually to keep the other things classic and simple. Do get some foundation plantings under the front window - a flowering shrub like raphiolepsis is a great option to layer behind other more seasonal elements .

Around the picture window, some Japanese Boxwood might be a nice, low maintenance drought tolerant choice. I love bougainvillea, that would add color and it's waterwise. I don't know if you like xeriscaping, but that is an option. You also might think about turf for a front lawn. If you are worried about heat from the sun, you might try planting a tree. That could minimize your air conditioning use and reduce your electric bill.

I'd sure like to see a new picture window, and you might try painting the house a nice warm gold color and use the brick as an accent. Another possible paint choice is that green that's really popular right now, and use the brick as an accent. I would definitely get rid of that 70's brown around the picture window.

I think you could use some wall art on the long wall that goes from the front door to the garage. Maybe something metal that's larger in scale.
