ID and advice for older bromeliad plant

This plant is the last of several that my mom sent me in an arrangement almost 6 years back - it was blooming at the time of arrival. It's survived a lot of trials, and I'd like to keep it going. There is a long "stem" and a split, but I never saw a "pup". Wondering what this plant is, the best care for it, and if I should try to force a second bloom to see if I can get pups? I've also got some new drift wood that I will be cleaning up and using for bromeliads, and I'm curious how this might do.

Yucca, dracaena or cordyline.

Looks like a yucca or dracaena... It cannot be mounted.

It started out with a large red bloom only similar to a bromeliad, from what I have seen. I have dracaena, and it's not a yucca, either. Used to work in a botanical garden, and I have seen some similar to this, but not that have grown this way.

I guess that is to say, I'm sure it's not a yucca, and I've never seen a dracaena bloom red, but maybe there is a variety I'm not familiar with?

I decided to go with the dracaena ID... I re-potted it, and it seems relatively happy. Thanks for the assistance!
