That is an ADORABLE play house. That is like a fairytale dream house for any little girl! What company designed this?

Adorable is RIGHT! I had a playhouse as a kid. It was pretty darn nice...custom built by the previous owners of our house. It had white siding with red shutters and window boxes. Red Dutch door and red porch...where we would put on "talent shows." Very roomy inside with a huge "pull down" chalkboard on one wall. We spent many nights playing/sleeping in that little house.

    No kids

We did, but we donated it to the school, as the kid outgrew it.

There is a lovely cinder block storage shed in my backyard, painted with a feminine trompe d' oeil effect- a tribute to the rather simplistic pink and white playhouse my parents had built for my sister and me. What lovely childhood memories we made within those four wooden walls. Playing house, performing our own theatrical pieces and finding comfort in our own little safe haven are days I can only relive in my mind now...

Every child should have a playhouse- whether it be an old sheet strewn across a table, pieces of cardboard fashioned to the likes of a mini mansion or paper bags rumpled up to mimic a teepee.

Ahhh- the joys of a sweet childhood!

No playhouse yet but we just became grandparents for the first time to a little granddaughter. It won't be long until we have one in our backyard. I had one as a little girl at my grandparents home and she will as well.

Yes, we have a play house for our grandchildren. It has a sleeping loft, front porch and electricity. My nephew made it from recycled material..we all have a great time..this year we made two flower beds and a stone walkway to the porch..

We bought an old house with a beautiful garden. There was an abandoned room at the back that used to be the driver's room. Now that we are remodeling, this is going to be our grandchildres's playhouse. We built an adjacent small bathroom so it can also be used as a guest house. Here are some pics before and into the remodeling stage.

Consuelo...that is SO cool! The possibilities are endless.

You should make a separate post on just that project. I'd love to follow it :0)

@misselthwaite....A Pirate Ship!! Wow...I bet you have every kid in the neighborhood wanting to play there!

Thanks for your comment. I will post new pics as soon as we advance on the project. By next week the bathroom will be finished and the room painted with window and door installed. It has a chimeney too. I'm planning to have a bed dressed as a sofa and lots of storage for toys, a small closet and the door to the bathroom is a barn door painted with chalk board. Also a comfy chair to relax and read stories. It will have a porch with small rocking chairs and we will put a vegetable garden in the roof reached by outside stairs. The huge old tree will be perfect to hang a swing and maybe later have a tree house. My grandsons are babies now but they will love it when they are a little older.

Oh yeah....the little ones will spend hours there.

A woman I knew years ago, she & her hubby bought an 1870's Inn. Every room was big, with the whole 1800's theme going on. Her son was about 8 when they got it & he had a blast growing up there...a ton of cubby holes & hiding places.

We made a huge teepee with an outdoor rug inside and beautiful Tahoe outside what could be wrong?! I love we can take this down and relocate it or move it if we want change. With my 7 and 4 year olds help we constructed it in an hour and have had endless evenings of fun with our structure.

Here is ours. It matches the house. We've since put a patio out here as well.

It's more of a folly, the tiniest of several dilapidated outbuildings that came with our property. (Sadly we had to take an unsaveable barn down with a few select cuts and a rope tied to my VW. My husband thought I was ridiculous to want to salvage that wood...)

Our once neglected home came with the previous owners' abandoned cat, so while the house was under reno for two years, I put a cat door, insulation and a cozy covered bed in the folly and put a big picture window in the back, and came to town from the city every day to feed her (and check in with the builders.) I painted it to match the house and built a mini set of stone steps/planter in front. It's best viewed from afar and not child safe, as it's old, rickety, seems to have been damaged in a fire, and was used by the previous owner for pig feed. The cat's long gone, making it now the most awesome playhouse for the rabbits, squirrels and chipmunks.

Yes. It was just a storage barn that I did not need when I bought the house. I had electric run to it and let the kids decorate it. It had two TVs, video games, and a selection of movies. I even went out to it a few times to take a nap and get away from it all. Now that my kids are 18 and 26, it is just storage. Once we purge our unneeded stuff, I will probably turn it into a getaway room, just for fun. Here's an old pic of it in the early stages, being enjoyed.

My children are adults and we do not have a playhouse. However, we just moved into this house last year and it is our playhouse!

Yes, I have a playhouse in my yard for my grandchildren. My nephew build it out of all used building material. It has a loft for sleeping, is wired and plenty of place to play. We have named it The Sunshine Inn. A small front porch is great for our tea parties. We are adding a small deck this summer. I moved this year so my nephew moved the playhouse. We are busy planting flowers this week. Our sunflower garden will also start over behind the playhouse. We have so many memories that will last a lifetime?

No, I don't have kids but we had one in the backyard when I was growing up. Then when we outgrew it (aged out). We used it as a pool house for friends to change clothes or my dad stored pool chemicals in it.
