Sandradclark-----I do plan on having them on an angle and I have a small drop leaf table that I am going to try with one that will go under a window. Would you please look for my post and let me know how high to raise art work????? many thanks again

House2514, great choice on the chairs......love the fabric too.....color and texture are fabulous. Is it a velvet or chenille?

Oh, and scale/size wise, chair looks to be perfect...for the space and with your sofa. Good job!

Love the chairs, they would go with my sofa too, but I need red. Good Luck.

Avery- they are microfiber-but not the kind that shows prints! Thank you so---much for your opinion !!!!

    @Nancy Walton, Yes....I noticed! Thanks. :)

@House2514, your room is looking so great. I'm surprised @Ann hasn't popped on yet. I think she was on your other dilemma......I bet she'd like to see the room. :)

@house2514, wow...it doesn't look like a microfiber to me at all! Good for you that it is for practicality purposes, and yet you got the look of a beautiful velvet or chenille (2 of my favorite type of fabrics).

As you may know, I've been chair hunting myself and know you've been looking for a while too. Finding just the right ones that are just the right size/scale, color, style and within budget isn't easy. So glad that you found just the right ones for your space.....makes it all worth the effort. Hopefully we'll be right there with you soon. :-)

PS so what's the next endeavor for your home?

@Zazzfuzzroc-thank you so much! Yes, I am looking forward to Ann's comments-she has also helped me from beginning of room.

@Avery-Yes the chair thing has been a real issue-I didn't want to pay a lot for chairs because they will probably only be used a couple of times a year-I found some on Wayfair and Home Decorators but just not gutsy enough to order site unseen and so many of the inexpensive chairs do not have a seat cushion that can be flipped. These do and on sale for $250 is the best part! I wish you luck finding yours! After this I need to do just a few things to foyer. I have already replaced the light fixture from brass to a more modern nickel one- so just a new mirror and some accessories for chest and rug. Then I have to tackle window treatments and I will be done in living area of home. Thanks again for your input. This is the first time I have ever been on house and got all positive feedback- it just makes me feel so good!!!!

Ready for some tweaking! Going to remove drop leaf table and everything on it- What do ya'll think about a narrow glass console table- with new lamp and a drapery panel pulled to right side of window??? Those bombay trunks on right now will go to. Thanks so much!!!! You guys have been great!

No, when I said you may need to lower the art I meant because I thought maybe the chairs might be too high. Now that you have them in the room they aren't too high. Everything looks lovely. Leave the drop leaf table.

@sandradclark- Well, in beginning of room several houzzer's said it too much like size of media table----so I promised it to my daughter and I go refinish it for her- so that being said do you think a glass top console table would work or should I go with wood? Many thanks!

House2514, just noticed this dilemma. I was on some of your previous dilemmas and just want to say how very nice I think your room is looking!!!!

@Ann- thank you so much Ann! You and everyone have been so helpful-couldn't have done it without you! I just need a few throws, lamp and window treatments and I will be done.

Looks amazing...so glad you didn't move the art up higher. Would have looked odd with the height of the t.v. It looks perfect, lovely colour combination. You need a few pieces of my favourite "blue and white" chinoiserie pottery, just amazing how this adds to this colour combo.

@ alwzrt- by chance could you show me pic of pottery you refer to? and thank you!!!

Definitely. Color and scale/size are great.

This is what I was referring to. I have a lot of it in my blue/crème living room. If your in the US

you can purchase inexpensive pieces at Ross's or Marshalls, Home Goods. In Canada it is sometimes available at Home Sense. I have a Large pot with an artificial orchid (purchased at Home Goods FL. that looks amazingly real) on my coffee table. I personally think it classes up a room. I also have "blue willow china" in my Dining room. Just a suggestion, I think a large Urn would look good on the floor next to your TV stand??? and a few other pieces scattered around your room.

You can purchase a few pieces, try them out , if you don't like the look take them back.

As usual I seem to have done a little over kill on the pictures. LOL

Let me know how you make out.

Foyer ideas...the one with the distressed table has a little bit too much "stuff" above it but I am sure you get the idea. The first one would like that arrangement on maybe a glass sofa table.

First let me say that I love the chairs and yes, I think they can work. I have a similar configuration in my loft, which we use as a TV room. The trick is to pull the chairs back far enough from the TV so that someone sitting there can turn and view it. Also, keep them close enough to the sofa to make a comfortable conversation area. Hope this helps.

What is the source of these chairs ? Do they have an ottoman that goes with the chair ?

    nancy lindsay thanked blanchard

@blanchard- I found them at a small decor shop in Charlotte N.C.- the same exact chair is on Wayfair- however it does not have a flippable seat cushion and mine do-plus they were less money- believe it or not I got these chairs for $250!!!!! Thank you for you nice comments!

@vickicz----I will post pics of finished room soon- I still have some things to do- trying to decide now on window treatment- curtains or plantation shutters??? Need a new lamp and accessories for table its on- decide weather to frame canvas art work over mantle and replace my ceiling fan. Also need small accent tables for chairs- they will not be used for watching tv ever-lol

I just want to thank everyone for all of your nice comments! This is my first post that I got all positive feedback and not one negative comment! I can't tell you how much this means to me. I know I take forever to make up my mind, but I think it just comes from not being able to financially make a mistake! The story on the chairs, was that these were actually the very first ones I looked at- after looking at tons of others in stores and online, I went back to these and they were on sale. The store I bought them from there is a no return policy for furniture-so when you bring them home they are yours. Still unsure I purchased just one and then after seeing how great it looked, went back and got the other one. Thank you all again, and I will be posting one more pic soon asking for your valued opinion on window treatment. Love love HOUZZ!!!!

    Beautiful chairs!
I would pull the legs of the sofa at least 6 inches onto the area rug, preferably all on.
Other than that the room is gorgeous.

    Hi

The color is perfect. Just be sure you have enough room. You do t want the chairs and of course the people in them to look like they are punished against the wall.
