this looks like it could really be a beauty! the soil looks moist. does your pot have a good drainage hole? when you water, give water until it leaks out the bottom, then stop. are you feeding it? they love to be fed. miracle gro is good its a blue powder that u mix with water. keep in shade they only like a few hours of morning sun and they also like fine misting I hope it perks up for you!

If it were mine, I'd would keep it entirely in the shade, especially if it's above 80 degrees where you live. Try to keep it cool if you can and I agree with (auntielisa) provide some misting if it's warm. Check your stems and leaves for any bugs. If you find any, just blast them off with a hose.

I would conc ur with everything auntielisa said. I would add that annuals thrive in soil-less mediums with Peat moss, vermiculite, bark, & perlite. The soil looks very black, like it is some sort of compost, but i really cant tell. Good luck

I see that you are a pro, so I appreciate your concurrence. You mentioned annuals, but fuchsias are most definitely perennial. Also, the original writer hasn't responded to anyones thoughts, maybe the fuchsia didn't make it. But it could really be a beauty!

Unfortunately the plant died a few days after I posted this. Thank you all for your comments though.

Oh I didnt know that, interesting, St Ignace. I'm sorry hilste. I've had fuchsias for like almost 9 years now. They have a lot of positive and negative aspects to them. It actually started my interest in gardening for a hobby. Some other ones I like are the new guinea impatiens, rain lilies, gladiolus(the kind that blooms in one white flower with a purple center and light fragrance), and recently I planted some hollyhocks and butterfly flower by seed they are sprouting nicely and I can't wait! Maybe you'd want to try one of those?

Fuchsia are tender perennials in the north but treated as annuals and therefore often thought of as annuals by us. But, still, perennials.

The wilted plant looks like it dried out and when watered did not soak in enough to revive the plant. Holding it in a container of water until all air bubbles stopped escaping would water it thoroughly and may have revived it.

i am posting this after the plant has died because other people might look at the posting title and read these postings and perhaps try the different suggestions to revive their plants.

Water well, put it in shade to recover and dont feed till its picked up
