Lost shade for vinca minor - will it survive?

11 years ago

I started a bed of vinca minor about 3 years ago and it was just now filling in nicely, when my neighbor cut their large tree down which was providing most of the shade. I planted a tree in the bed, but its very young and slow growing and it will be years before it provides enough shade. Do you think the vinca will survive, or should I plan on something more sun tolerant? Thanks in advance for any help.
