I am passionately toying with the idea of restoring this building from 1900 (!!). while it has structural issues that would eat up most of my budget I do hope to be able to bring the neglected space graciously into 2015 while keeping it's beautiful dignity from its glory days. it is in such a magical country setting I would love to blend the seem between the indoors and outdoors by replacing the windows for larger black iron clad windows and brighten up the interior. the wood has layers of stains on it which is dark and I wonder if I could strip that off and brighten the color of the wood without damaging it.
I am so in love with this place however I might be crazy trying to take this on.... I am afraid if the "wrong" person purchases this place they will destroy it's original beauty.
