Need help for Bar Stool for my new "hang-out"

I may have made a carpentry error!

I had my kitchen wall torn down - having to leave a section where there is a 1/2 wall because of counter tops and desk right up against it. My intent was to put a piece of granite on top of it and use it as a counter to sit at with a bar stool. To give you an idea this wall is between kitchen and now a new Den ( old breezeway) the den is sunk-in leaving the wall where the stool would go at 108 inches - I do not know what to do for a stool there - they all seem to small and due to a small space looking for a backless kind...the largest heights are about 32' that I see.... HELP!!

The wall is now complete the counter top is being added this week..... So the project is essentially done. I was hoping to use this as a spot where friends can sit and have wine while I cook.

How about making a bench facing the den? You can leave the broken wall at the height it is now and still have the granite top, maybe a little lesser wide one enough to receive a sculpture.

It would have to be a thin bench to have room to get in and out of slider.. good idea, i can make it a spot to add character to the den now. - thx

No, because there is a new outlet on the kitchen side and it is as low as it can go. The reason for the height which I didn't think of during the construction is the den side is a step down.

I would wait until you are finished and work with a local craftsman to make you a thin, higher than the norm stool to fit. Most of the retail ones only come bar height or counter height and yours is not those...:) Just make sure that it wont interfere with the slider...
