frosted, because i think you made an error in keeping the white tile in the shower. i understand why you did it but in the end, if i were buying the house i'd prefer the other tile was less noticeable.

if you really want clear glass (and of course you can!) but just don't want to look at your stuff, make your shower a carry in/carry out facility. dont store anything in there, then you dont need the caddy over the shower head.

I only see one photo,,the shower area..For the door, any glass would work. The frosted version comes in different styles,,,I've seen some really nice ones.
I know you didn't ask, but I don't know if your decision to leave those white tiles was the best decision..Maybe it's just the photo and it in real life looks better

Frosted glass would work fine in this bathroom. Even if you just google frosted glass shower door you will see that there are a variety to choose from. It sounds like you would like a very lightly frosted glass. It obscures the details of what is behind but still gives the bathroom a fairly open feel.

I vote for frosted as well. And not because of the visibility of the shower stuff but the old tile looks a bit 'off' with your new tile - sorry to say. The mosaic is so clean and fresh and you have this aged tile that has a pinkish hue that is throwing everything off. I hope it's just my monitor!

I vote frosted so that you don't have to see all of your stuff in the shower :) I also think the critical comments are rude and unneccesary. It looks great.

We just added frosted doors to the end of bath tub, and they look nice. We did this to get rid of the issue of water dripping to the floor from bath..there is a big hole ( the tub haha) and in the end the water still comes out when having a shower. Solved now!

I think for this bathroom, clear glass would work better only because it won't take away from the tile backsplash which has texture and color already.

I had this dilemma as well, and I actually looked into getting a smart glass shower door - that's a door that's clear until you flip a switch and then it turns frosted - but it's about $10k for a shower door at the moment, so it's too rich for my blood. :D

I have clear doors and am tired of trying to keep them flawless. Nothing worse than scrubbing them down, then coming back in and finding dried water marks. It's clean, but still not clear. Ugh!

If you have hard water go with a frosted. I think rain glass would look nice. I have a clear shower and live where we have hard water. I tried everything (lime away, Mr. Clean sponges, vinegar & dawn etc.) to get rid of the hard water stains that seemed to have almost been etched in, then found Driven Extreme Duty Glass Cleaner on Amazon and it took care of the problem. This was my last resort before replacing the glass and so happy it worked!

Are frosted shower doors frosted on the inside? Are they harder to keep clean because of inside etching and all the moisture? Could I reverse to have the frosted side on the outside or would that look weird?

@1dogand3cats - We would recommend the etching to be on the outside, because yes cleaning would be a headache. In addition, the look would be different. If you decide you really want the etching on the inside we would highly recommend a tekon sealer which would help keep the glass clean from water spots.
