If you had to get them all from Lowe's....

what appliances would you get? That's the boat I'm in, and right now, I'm thinking Frigidaire French Do0or Fridge (SS),

Frigidaire Gallery Smooth Surface Convection Electric Range (SS), and

Frigidaire Professional Over-the-Range Convection Microwave (Smudge proof SS) - since we have no room for double ovens, this will give me another oven in a pinch. Oh and Bosche dishwasher - i think they only have one model right now.

Not sure why I ended up w/ all Frigidaire - maybe the SS is smudge proof, which is what I was leaning towards.

We've had mis-matched appliances for years now, but they have been RELIABLE. I really, really don't want to be sinking money into repairs so am trying to make good choices up front. Any recommendations for appliances from Lowe's? TIA!!

I used a Frigidaire range like you mentioned in a vacation rental and I liked it overall. The oven worked well and the burners were much more responsive than other smooth top burners I have used. The only problem is that the racks in the oven were too narrow and fell down. I was thinking that possibly the range had been stacked improperly at sometime in a warehouse or who knows but it was dangerous.

We had gift cards from Lowes and used it to buy Bosch for our 2nd home. The DW is the best one you can buy there. They do carry a few more brands and models online; be sure to check it out. They can even help you shop online in the store. We ended up with the Bosch range, fridge, etc, because it was a small space. However, sadly, Lowe's is not carrying the Bosch induction line (we went with gas).

Dacor gas range. Or Bosch induction cooktop and KitchenAid wall ovens. Or Electrolux induction slide in range. Kitchen aid DW (I like a heated dry to be available.). Electrolux all fridge and all freezer. Sharp MW drawer. All that is missing would be the hood and that would depend on the cooking products chosen.

I wouldn't do Frigidaire for anything other than if maybe the Electrolux fridge freezer wouldn't quite make it in the budget. The Frigidaire ones are close enough in most functions that they would be an acceptable alternative. Not a fan of Frigidaire cooking products.

If you are considering mostly Frigidaire appliances, you might want to consider the Frigidaire Gallery induction range, FGIF2061NF instead of the Frigidaire Gallery radiant electric smoothtop. Saw one at our local Lowe's yesterday with what looked like a markdown for the Memorial Day weekend.

I agree with jwvideo, get the induction. I've had a Frigidaire induction since 2011. No problems and is miles ahead of radiant electric.

I'm going to third the induction suggestion. I have been very happy with my frigidaire induction range, purchased at lowes over two years ago. Fwiw, their smudge proof stainless is much easier to clean than my stainless Bosch dishwasher.

Wow - that induction range gets GREAT reviews! Thank you for the suggestions. What's a good fridge as far as dependability goes? Moving up from what we've got now, anything is going to be an upgrade...

We also bought some of our appliances through Lowe's (not all, because we found a couple they didn't carry elsewhere) mainly because they will price match any appliance (including online prices) and they can get many more models of appliances than they show in the store. For instance, we purchased our GE Induction slide-in through Lowe's, even though they don't carry it in the store. And the online price (from Amazon at the time) was significantly better than any local deal. And because I am paranoid about warranty issues, we bought Lowe's extended warranty for the appliances we purchased through them. It's my understanding that Lowe's warranty covers damages caused by power surges whereas not all extended warranties do. At least that's how I justified the purchase since our home is in an area prone to surges :)
