Lois, The Littlest Warrior Project is for a NICU at a Military hospital in California to cover incubators. My friend had a great-grandson spend a few months in an incubator and they weren't using anything to cover it to block out the strong lights they have to use. I had told her about how when we used an eye-shield (of sorts) for our Raina, she could open her eyes and look at us. So she had the idea of making the quiltlets and took them in. They were such a hit that she continued making them and there are others who help her now. 24 X 36 is what she and the nurses figured out worked the best.

Really like your I Spy layout. Looks so great with the creamy strips. I've done scrappy 10-patch squares in the same layout with blue strips.

When some of us saw the original pattern, we saw a swastika design but since you eliminated the dark corners, I no longer see that. A slight design change means a new quilt. Good job, Sharon.

Thanks, Theresa. I really don't like doing those little corner triangles on a longer strip unless it makes an absolutely gorgeous second pattern, and this one, IMO, did not. Plus, the small amount to be trimmed off was too small for me to save, so I didn't do that part of the pattern. My quilt, I can make it the way I want. And, you can, too! If you don't care for an exact pattern and it isn't going anywhere that it has to be made a specific way, make it your way and save yourself the hassle. :-)

Yes, Donna, this was the Crooked Path without the triangles. Making it this way probably gives it another name....but, who cares. If the square were 9 patches, it could be Bonnie's Dancing Nines. So many variations of a traditional block that it used to drive me crazy. It's like the Disappearing Hourglass pattern. To me, it looks like she starts with a Broken Dishes block not an Hourglass. But.........whatever.
