I think you can rule out, or in? 3 closest yel. TBs I saw:
'Alta California' (Mohr-Mitchell'31) at Davesgarden, Sugarbean's pic has the fall marking.
'California Gold' (Mohr-Mitchell'33) at AIS Wiki, only one pic has the fall marking.
'Goldilocks' (Wayman'30) at Brightonpark, slight suggestion of darker fall area.

The tailored form resembles a MTB. What is the height? 'Lady Emma' is close but beards not matching and possibly not the shape of the fall petal. Veined haft area looks a bit larger too but I would investigate MTBs if height is usually under 27 inches (measured from ground to top of terminal flower).

Will check the lavender when time permits.

The height of the yellow iris this year is between 32 and 35 inches. I looked at the 3 you suggested. 'Alta California' looks a little paler and is listed to be 48 inches tall - so I don't think that is it. 'California Gold' has an orange beard in most pictures that I can find - mine has a yellow beard. I found 3 pictures so far of 'Goldilocks' and they look spot on. Plus the height seems to match. That might be it.

The second one looks like Iris pallida 'Dalmatica'. If so, it should have a strong, sweet scent, sweet Concord grapes. I got mine years ago from a building lot, just before the bulldozers came in. Two open flowers made my whole big van smell delicious.

I believe the second one is i. pallida Dalmatica. It does have the grape scent. Other pictures I found online look like a match. I was only able to find a height listed at one place (Bluebird Haven Iris) - it shows them to be 39 inches tall - and mine were 40 inches tall this year.

So it looks like I have both identified now.
