IME bridal wreath spirea is a large shrub that grows in a fountain shape with branches arching out and down to the sides in the same form as forsythia or ninebark. That means it is difficult to plant really close to it compared to other shrubs that don't have the same arching shape.

It may set seedlings. I don't grow this particular kind in my current garden (though it grew at the house I was raised in) but other types of spirea do set seeds and I have a few seedlings each year.

Out of bloom it is fairly boring with small plain green leaves. I would only use it if the other shrubs and flowers you grow will make its plain summer appearance unimportant. In the house I grew up in, its main function was privacy. It was lovely in spring bloom, but the rest of the year was just a line of several plain green shrubs. In my current garden, I like to have foliage that is interesting when the plant isn't in bloom, so I like contrasts of shape or color or size. If you have gold or red foliage in other shrubs, or large or strappy leaves somewhere nearby there may be enough contrast so that the spirea will look good for the rest of the season.

This shrub does get huge and suckers like crazy. I would recommend not putting it anywhere you would like it to be somewhat contained. It's a great shrub for the right spot. Mine gets excellent orange fall foliage.

I just dug mine out of my cottage garden a couple years ago. Still have suckers in there though.

totally boring, practically worthless. if you want spirea use one of the colored leaf ones-they have interest all growing season.

My mom has some lovely shrubs and they look great with lilacs and mock oranges. Also nice with snowball bush. What zone are you in? That probably makes a big difference!

I'd have some, but the deer like to chew them. Supposed to be deer resistant (and so is the forsythia) but no one told my deer! LOL They're pretty good otherwise, so lilacs and butterfly bushes work well, instead.
