Need curtain advice!

I have a single large window in my bedroom that I am trying to address. I was looking for a blackout curtain to pair with sheers. I found this set of panels that I love but they are semi-sheer. Any suggestions for a complimentary blackout solution? I'm not sure what color blackout curtain to pair them with or if I should look for a different alternative such as a roller shade...the window is 70" wide x 82" high. Walls are light tan, window trim white. Duvet pictured below. Any thoughts / suggestions would be awesome!!

Blinds have really come a long way as you said. The one below in white might be nice.

I think blinds or shutters would keep the curtains feeling light vs adding a blackout curtain behind.

Good point about keeping it light feeling, Maureen! While I love shutters, I'm hesitant to use them because I only have about a foot of clearing between the window & the bed.. Opening them for any reason would be problematic. Room darkening cellular shades may be an idea, though. Thoughts on roller shades? I'm not a huge fan of them but they seem to have come a long way since I had them 30 years ago..

Ikea has blackout drapes. Going with that print will limit you with other accessories. I love your comforter. You can even get blackouts in off-white.

Such good suggestions!! I know... The patterned / colorful "sheer" makes it surprisingly difficult to match with a blackout treatment. I don't know why I'm so stuck on it, but I just think it's so beautiful!! If I did a roller shade ( love the one you posted Maureen! Where did u find it?) would u do white? Off white? Or pull one of the colors out of the curtain?

I would do a roller or Roman shade...something in white/cream

Install a black out roll up under the curtain rod. Use it only at night, and you'll still have the fresh look

So just a regular roller shade? Inside mount or will that be too noticeable?

an open roll blackout roller or cellular would do the trick. you need the shade behind the sheers so that they can show off their beauty and work the room

Saddest thing... I went to purchase the curtains a couple weeks ago & by the time I entered my payment info & everything they were sold out
