Bathroom renovation continues - Demolition Day! Contractor suggested using the ceramic floor tiles (dark wood) for the baseboard. Do you agree? And what color of paint would you suggest? I am thinking gray?

Wood-look tile as a baseboard is a common suggestion from tile setters. It keeps the flow of the colours and is easy to achieve.

As for paint, I would love to see a blue/gray that is found in the tiles. This would tie in nicely with the tiles and the basement carpet. Keeps a bit of flow.

I think I might try something in the gold family which will brighten the space and make the blue tones in the stonework pop. Benjamin Moore's marblehead gold is a nice one.
