The plan is a bit small to see, is the bar by the pantry area ? If so then it should be fine as it is actually semi-separated from the main working area of the kitchen.

We agree with Dytecture. If the bar is located on the wall near the pantry then it would be a great location for it. Otherwise it looks like that wall has no cabnetry on the plan which would be a huge loss of space that could be utilized. (its hard to see the floor plan)
