Have I made a mistake?

I have just moved into a new, light and bright apartment in a building built in 1928. I've bought the Adeline rug from Pottery Barn and the Adelle sofas from Macy's (if Macy's ever actually delivers the sofas, but that's another story...). The rug is a little darker than I expected, a dusky greenish-grey rather than a cream, as I had pictured, but I still love it. The photos show the room, the rug, and the sofas from the display in the Macy's store. I want a very sophisticated, yet comfortable look -- coordinated, but not too matchy-matchy. There are wood floors and lots of windows with cream walls -- it's a very light and bright room. How can I keep things light but still tie the rug and sofas together? I'm worried they're going to look dark and flat. Appreciate any suggestions!
