Bed in front of off-center window with sloped ceiling

We just moved in and this is the only possible placement for the king bed. Can't move over because of the closet door. Can't do other wall because must also have desk in room. We tried every way and this is the best.

BUT it leaves us with this weird space above the headboard. How to decorate? Many people mention drapes across the wall, but how could this work with our sloped ceiling?

Thanks so much! THis has really been stumping me for weeks.

I found this sketch online and was leaning towards this idea (in theory) but I'm having trouble finding pictures of anyone who has actually implemented it...

I think if you ran the drapery straight across from the top of the window, it would work. Actually, if you extended it past the window and just did the whole wall, it would look very lush.

Would love to hear more about how others handled this. I've seen a lot of posts from people about off-centering curtains to make the window look centered. I have a similar set-up to the picture above, where the window is so far off center that clearly won't work. Other than creating a wall of curtains, has anyone embraced the asymmetry?

I think you would have to extend the curtain rod across the whole wall and add beautiful panels behind the head board and over the window, same as pictured above by Creeser. I think that is the only way your going to get the look you are trying to achieve.

Take a level and mark off the triangle wall above your bed. Paint the wall the same color as ceiling. Also if hanging drapes at window, hang a pair on the other side of the bed to balance the room. A nice picture or mirror would walrus as well.
