Wall color?

I know the tag says its tony taupe but that doesn't seem correct if you compare to the other pictures. It looks "browner". Is it some way the room is lit? Just curious as I love this kitchen and like the way it goes with the cabinets. May replicate it to sone extent.

Hi ksteege, I've written about this before...Professional photography lights up rooms in photographs all over Houzz! I also use Halogen light in all of my kitchens so we have lot's of crisp, clear light in our rooms. All of this and more effects the color of paint...even in your own home. Paint colors have undertones that show up when lit. That's what you are seeing. This indeed is Tony Taupe. Happy Decorating! Jo McKeown/Great Spaces!

Ok no worries we absolutely love the look - the thing that really caught our eye is the brown island with the off-whitish cabinets - we kept going back and forth on whether or not to have wood in the kitchen or not and this photo was one of the convincing factors to go with it - floors are in waiting on the cabinets now - only a few more weeks

I absolutely love this look. Are these cabinets a true white or an off white? And did you match the trim and doors with the cabinets or do a true white on trim/doors?

Hi mndyldrs, Thank You for the compliment! These cabinets are not "true white" but they are whiter than cream. That's why the look is crisp. No, we did match the trim...it was creamy. As you can see, it all blends nicely...that's the key...to make it blend. It's all how you mix! Good luck with your project! Sincerely, Jo McKeown/Great Spaces!

We used Tony Taupe as an accent color in our condo in Ecuador (Sherwin Williams is the highest quality paint here) It's a great color that works well with many decor types.

Hi Campbell Designs down there in Ecuador! Thanks for the comment on Tony Taupe...I think it's a great neutral color too! If you get around to it...post a couple of pics of your place so we can see what life in Ecuador looks like...Thanks! Jo McKeown/Great Spaces!
