Hi,

To keep the kitchen feeling light and open, go for the lightest colors in your granite for your backsplash and cabinet colors. I would suggest cream subway tile and cream cabinets to go with the granite and flooring pictured. Good luck! --Jen

It appears that is Crema Bordeaux granite. A beautiful choice. The stone generally has a considerable amount of movement and is very warm in terms of color tone. We have very successfully used a light to mid-range travertine (natural stone) tile with Crema Bordeaux and it looks great. Given the tone of your flooring, I would go into a mid-range color for the travertine (something like light walnut rather than too light). Just use a warm tone for the grout. You can get travertine in square or in subway shapes. The below is a tumbled travertine in light walnut with a Crema Bordeaux countertop - you may not like tumbled but it gives an idea of color tone.
