What type of flooring is used? And does the cedar require yearly staining? Beautifully done!

The cedar should get treated every few years in at first. You can wait longer between treatments each time you do it. The flooring is a natural poplar product called cambia. They basically roast the wood which makes it resistant to the weather and gives it the dark brown color.
