Someone please help!

Hi castagna--sorry no one replied earlier--I'll give you my 2cents...
For layout, I would put a love seat in front of the bay window--not right against it--but out 1-2 feet. In front of that, I would place a small rectangular or oval glass top coffee table, and 2 small armchairs angled towards the coffee table. On the opposite wall I would purchase, or have built-in, a wall unit--for books, display, tv, etc. I might consider a built-in bench for dining, where the table could slide over when not in use, with 2 chairs on the other side.
I like your ideas for a black and white colour scheme. You could have a couple large black tiles inserted randomly in the floor, to break up the white tiling.
Basically, you can put any colour with B&W! Do you have a favorite? I'll hunt up a couple pictures and post them soon, ok?

Because there seems to be a door that will encroach into the bay when opened, you cannot really center anything on the bay. I would suggest a small sectional as shown in picture, but short enough to only cover half of the bay. Behind the portion covering the bay put a sofa table height piece. On it could be a nice lamp and bowl or other object. In the other corner of the bay a nice tall plant with maybe a smaller one next to it and behind the sofa table....does this make sense.. I would place a chair that swivels on the small wall backing the W.C. Two ottomans not a coffee table that can be moved and used for additional seating & with a tray as a coffee table. Opposite the bay I would have a larger tall & wide unit to have storage on bottom, a shelf for TV and other items..maybe also a long mid shelf that can be used at times for a buffet or bar. Anchor the whole place with a great patterned large rug and full length draperies to the ceiling, not tied back. I would leave the floor all one color. Choose your wall color last, or at least after you choose your furniture and especially a rug. I would have it all one shade, and no accent wall..it will make the place look smaller.

Thank you so much for commenting really appreciate it. i love the idea of the built in unit for display,tv ect.

As we have a second living room on the 1st floor we looking to uses this space for entertain so might need slightly more seating but i also like the idea of the bench that could be put away.

Im not sure about inserting black tiles, ive always been a bit of a plain jane but also thats why ive come on here for ideas, it would be great it you could find some pictures to help me visualise it a bit better that would be fantastic :)

aahh--interesting....if its not your main living room, I might be tempted to do 4 club chairs around a coffee table.
sorry, I cannot locate the photos of the floor tiling; but I will keep looking.
