I was sure there would be no chance to see the Black Dragon Lily bloom this year. WRONG! It looks a little ratty where the hard freeze in mid-May got to it, but it has buds on each stalk and multiple buds on one stalk. While it is spectacular in bloom, it has always been a demanding plant. It was my Mom's baby and I've kept it going by dividing the corms over the years (she was terrified I'd kill it doing that). Brightened the start of June for me to see this.
