totally agree. if you don't like the wall...make it disappear with a crisp white lattice/green ivy. will add loads of personality and interest to this space and fairly easy to do yourself.

Plants will remedy a lot of this problem, as would a water feature. You can put another floor over the tile.

I think the brick wall looks nice and works nicely with your gray sectional. It just looks empty and bare. As already suggested, find some outdoor wall art to hang and add black planters with plants and flowers to warm the space up. Also, add a centerpiece to the wicker coffee table. Pull from the colors in the brick-oranges and reds. Add some outdoor pillows on your sectional-you can find all different colors and patterns at HomeDecorators and Pottery Barn. Grays, reds, and oranges would look beautiful in your space.

Wow, that brick wall is amazing. Your choice in outdoor furniture is unfortunate as it is going to be difficult to make those two things look good together. What would I do? I would spray paint that furniture an oiled bronze color to go with the warm color of the brick. I would replace that area rug with something more neutral and natural (outdoor looks should always be nature influenced and they don't have blue paisley in nature). I would put down some sort of jute style rug, something neutral in color pulling from the warm colors in the brick and something with texture. I would work around those cushions and try to pull the look together with throw pillows. Then I would fill large planters with plants, put something of interest on the coffee table, and add candles and some sort of outdoor lighting solution like overhead string lights.

You have a wonderful start! The brick wall is gorgeous with the grey wicker. You might try switching out the wicker coffee table for black metal with black lanterns and a succulent pot in a metal planter. Then add terra cota pots with greenery. A great accent color would be coral or lemon yellow.
