Third year of tomato growing. I learned from last year that I don't have much success using containers--wilt took my plants one by one. So, I made room, moved the daylilies, and put the tomatoes in ground. Still making mistakes, I put them too close together and in an area that gets shaded by the house in early spring and early fall. The good news is that my tomatoes have grown into a wall about 8 feet high.

I got very sturdy cages and then had to put smaller cages on top of them for height. This seemed to work. Then more bad news, two of my five plants were mislabeled. I posted here before about this. I am pretty sure I have Brandywine instead of Black Krim and Juliet instead of Black Cherry. So, now the wait is on. I look three times a day but still no color. They sit there, looking green and beautiful. Waiting is so difficult. Only Sun Gold has given me a few tomatoes so far.

Juliet is my guess for this one. It has grown up like a monster. Is the shape right?

And these babies should be Lemon Boys. In a container. No ground left. Hoping for success.
