Hearth Material

Having trouble picking a material for our flush hearth in our family room.

We have special walnut floors. And are using a honey ledge by MSI for around the fireplace.

The design of the room is very neutral as you can see below.

Do we use bluestone, tile?? It's a wood burning fireplace.

it is unclear where you want to use the bluestone tile.

If the color your doing is the 1st home depot pic then I’d look to a light limestone hearth. If it is the color in your room collage, then a bluestone would work, as would a slate.

Thank you. It is the color in the home depot pic. The bluestone, limestone, slate would be on the floor, as a flush hearth.

I went to the quarry store today. Would something like this work? It's a yellow limestone.
