Mixing chrome and stainless

Is it really odd looking to mix chrome and stainless finishes in a kitchen? In the kitchen we are planning, we are reusing stainless steel cabinet pulls, and will have a stainless prep sink under soapstone and a separate stainless cleanup sink integrated into a run of stainless counter. In looking at faucet options, I'm having a hard time with the idea of spending more for the two faucets to get a stainless finish. I like chrome finishes just fine - in fact I've never had a faucet in any other finish!

What do y'all think about having the two faucets in a chrome finish, with the rest of the metals in stainless? Blend fine, or look odd?

I have chrome faucets with my stainless appliances and sinks. I doubt anyone has noticed. I don't. I'll bet no one thought twice about using chrome faucets with their ss sinks and white or black or avocado green appliances either.

Most people won't notice the difference. Chrome can look like shiny stainless. As buehl says, it'll be fine.

I think it'll be ok. I have chrome pulls and a stainless faucet and it doesn't bother me and I don't think anyone else has noticed. At least, they haven't mentioned it if they have.

We have SS appliances and faucets, and sink, satin nickel cabinet handles, and a shiny chrome ceiling fan (we didn't like their satin nickel; very "muddy" looking--dull, with a brownish undertone, plus, we'd originally seen and loved the chrome version on display in the store). IMO, they all "play nicely" together. :)

It won't be a problem - they are all in related silver tones.

Thank you all for your responses. It's so easy to overthink things when planning a remodel, which I was doing. I'm glad to have a resolution that saves us money too - more budget for other features!

Mine are all mixed too - cabinet handles are a combination of chrome and wood-look on the lowers, brushed nickel on the uppers, stainless sink, chrome faucet, brushed something-or-other for the refrigerator and freezer handles. Look great to me!
